Pars Today – The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry emphasized that Israel is the largest violator of international human rights and humanitarian law, and that its ongoing impunity must be stopped.
Esmaeil Baqaei wrote on the social media platform X that the International Court of Justice’s advisory opinion on Palestine (October 22) once again confirms Israel as the foremost violator of international humanitarian norms.
Baqaei stated that the International Court of Justice has affirmed that the Israeli regime is obligated to provide the basic needs of Palestinians under occupation and the essential items required for their survival, and must refrain from obstructing the delivery of such supplies. He added that using starvation as a method of warfare is also prohibited under international law.
He added that both the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court are currently addressing allegations of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide committed by Israel in Gaza. The ongoing impunity enabled by supporters and apologists of the regime must come to an end.
