Pars Today- Recent studies of fact-checking media reveal that many videos that are released about the situation on Saydnaya prison [in Syria] have been published via artificial intelligence and by TikTok influencers.

The news of lies published about Saydnaya prison since last week reveal a new scenario every day. According to Pars Today, daily Jam-e Jam has touched upon CNN's behavior on the issue, excerpts of which you can read here: Publication of a video of a few minutes on CNN, where the channel seems to have gone directly inside Saydnaya prison with its reporter and opened the door of a cell to release an inmate, looks so flagrantly fake that it has caused even the media experts to protest!

The bitter fact is that this video is being widely circulated among Iranian news agencies, too! This is not the first time that a totally fake video has been published by a channel which deems credit at least for itself. Earlier, such pictures used to be published ridiculously by this channel, to the extent that, now, the name of "Clarissa Ward", as the reporter of this video, is reminiscent of a media deception. Her new video about freeing a Syrian from Saydnaya prison contains glaring and ridiculous flaws even in terms of the Hollywood cinematic criteria. But, CNN has always proved that it leaves no stone unturned to transfer lies. A few months ago, one of the channel's editors-in-chief confessed that, during the bombing of a hospital in Gaza by the Zionist regime, they had passed off the calendar on the wall of the hospital as the list of the names of Hamas members to their naïve viewers!

Try to be scared!

The issue of CNN lies is a long story and even the list of its fake reports is beyond the scope of this concise discussion. But, another example, where Clarissa can evidently be traced, is related to her presence during the Zionist regime aggression of Gaza. This report, which has been filmed near the border of the Occupied Territories with Gaza, includes a "fake" audio piece outside the scene which sounds the CNN personnel are guided how to pretend to have taken shelter against missiles. The voice reports in the heat of this seemingly tumultuous situation, "Look around as if you were in danger." "Try to look beautiful and scared." Of course, CNN announced after this glaring scandal that the voice which was heard had been somehow attached to the picture, but many fact-checking websites have acknowledged the falsity of the report and called it fake.

Rivalry for lie

Social networks are acting in such a way in the tense atmosphere of these days that, without exaggeration, it can be said that defense of truth and reality needs high courage. That a fake ridiculous video under the heading of releasing a captive from the horrible Saydnaya prison is published and you consider it unreal due to specific reasons, will undoubtedly cause you to be charged with partnership in likely crimes! Yet, what is quite clear is that most of the published videos with the caption of "Freedom from Saydnaya prison" are unreal. For instance, a highly visited video was published for the past days from "Vietnam War Museum" under the title of "Saydnaya Dungeons" Sadly, news channels and even official news agencies are extensively publishing it.

Influencers in rush

Although we know that when we hear the name of Clarissa Ward, we should be suspicious about the truth of what she says from the very beginning, the developments of the few past days show that many influencers have substituted the official reporters in transferring real news. A notable part of the fake news broadcast on the news media are related to the activity of these people on social media and this is the warning that media experts had cautioned about since long time ago. When a media loses its position as a source- due to different reasons including decrease of social asset and lack of public trust in official news- this mission is incorrectly and dangerously given over to influencers. Basically, media literacy of the cyberspace operators is too low to enable them to stand against this scale of lie foray, especially now that they are equipped with dangerous tools (weapons) such as artificial intelligence. For instance, many videos published about the situation of Saydnaya prison have been released on cyberspace through artificial intelligence and by TikTok influencers. Interestingly, the fake videos have sometimes been visited 9 million times, but the arguments to reject their reality (that is, the denial of the video's being real) have hardly amounted to 100,000 visits!
