Pars Today – Iran’s Interior Minister has announced an agreement between the two countries to increase their economic trade volume to $10 billion, highlighting the brotherly relations between Iran and Pakistan.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB news agency, Eskandar Momeni said on Saturday night at the end of his meeting with Syed Mohsin Naqvi that part of the Pakistani Interior Minister’s visit focused on bilateral issues, including border security, counter-narcotics efforts, and counterterrorism.

Momeni stated: In the economic field as well, good decisions were made and it was agreed that the trade volume between the two countries would increase from $3 billion per year to $10 billion per year. He added that achieving this goal would only be possible with the cooperation of other ministries in both countries.

The Interior Minister noted that in Bishkek, the venue of the meeting of Interior Ministers of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the positions of the two countries were very close. He also expressed appreciation for the active role of the friendly and brotherly country of Pakistan in mediating efforts to reduce tensions between Iran and the United States.

In the continuation of the meeting, Syed Mohsin Naqvi stated that Iran and Pakistan have brotherly relations, and when one brother faces a problem, the other also feels it. He expressed hope that these crises would soon come to an end through the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir.
