Army commander warns of Iran's devastating response to aggressors

Commander of Iran's Army Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi cautions the enemies to avoid testing Iran's military power, warning them of a crushing and strong response from the country's armed forces.

"The conditions in the world and the region today have necessitated preparedness more than ever," General Mousavi said, addressing the rapid-reaction forces in the Northwestern city of Tabriz on Sunday.

He underlined that Iran has never started war against other nations, but meantime, said, "We do not rely just on defense (capabilities). We will do defense at the start of enemy attack, but our offensive power and ability to hit a blow (to enemies) after the start of the aggressors' attack will be devastating and will make them regret."

General Mousavi underscored that the Iranian armed forces are much more powerful than ever and would never go for an iota of compromise in terms of defending the country's causes and the nation.
