Wahhabis, takfiris attempt to disunion Islamic Ummah: Larijani

Majlis (parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani underlined awareness of Islamic Ummah to neutralize dispersion moves of Islam's enemies saying that Takfiri and Wahhabi groups are trying to sow discord among Muslims.

According to IRNA, he made the remarks here during a visit to World Velayat Network Bureau on Friday.

Many Sunni groups do not recognize Takfiri terrorist groups, Larijani added, 'Al-Azhar University, as a religious authority of Sunni, is standing against them and the line of dispersion is not acceptable by many of Sunni Ulema.'

He said that Palestinians are part of the Islamic Ummah and defending them is necessary, but there are people in Palestine, who are trying for disunion.

Larijani also underlined role of hegemonic and bullying powers in spreading disunion and added that these countries intend to gain a place from these differences.

He said that western countries are trying to reduce ties between Islamic states in all fields of economy, science and culture and turn them to separate islands.

Larijani called launching the network as an important work in direction of protecting Islamic thought and added that the initiative will pave the ground for implementing the Islamic Ummah unity.
