Iran–Oman legal and technical meeting
Pars Today — A legal and technical meeting between Iran and Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz was held in Muscat, Oman.
According to Pars Today, in continuation of bilateral consultations between Iran and Oman at various levels on bilateral relations and regional developments, an Iranian delegation headed by Abbas Baqerpour met with the Omani delegation in Muscat.
During the meeting, the latest developments related to the Strait of Hormuz and arrangements for the safe passage of ships were discussed.
Both sides emphasized their sovereign rights and jurisdiction over the strait as part of the territorial waters of Iran and Oman.
The Iranian delegation also held talks with Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.
In addition, the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Arsenio Dominguez, who was also present in Oman at the time, met with the Iranian delegation, where technical maritime issues were discussed.
