75,000 Palestinians hold Friday Prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque on Nakba anniversary
Pars Today – The Islamic Endowments Department in Al-Quds reported that 75,000 Palestinians performed Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque coinciding with the anniversary of the Nakba.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the Al-Quds Islamic Waqf stated that tens of thousands of Palestinians held Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque despite severe restrictions imposed by Israeli forces and attacks by settlers.
Reports said that for the first time since the occupation of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Israeli settlers carried out Talmudic rituals and dances in the Bab al-Asbat area prior to Friday prayers, raising flags bearing the symbol of the alleged “Temple,” in an act coinciding with the anniversary of the occupation of Al-Quds.
Local sources also reported that dozens of Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian worshippers while they were entering Al-Aqsa Mosque, particularly in Al-Wad Street and in front of Bab al-Majlis, beating them.
According to the report, Israeli occupation forces also arrested several Palestinians following the settler attacks and transferred them to the “Al-Qishla” police station in the Old City of Al-Quds.
