Iran freestyle wrestlers get 6 berths for Olympics

Over wrestling news, Iran have succeeded to snatch qualification for all Six-Weight-Classes of men’s freestyle for 2020 Tokyo Games after securing 3 more berths in the Asian Olympic Qualifiers which is underway in Kazakhstan.

Iranian wrestlers reached the finals of the event in the 67, 74 and 97 KG categories to book 3 more tickets for Tokyo. Iran had already earned 3 quotas for the Summer Olympics in the 57, 86 and 125 KG Categories back in 2019.

Iran is the only country to have a fully-squad in the men’s freestyle wrestling in the 2020 Olympics, while their rivals including Russia, the United States and Kazakhstan have won 5 berths.
