The head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Peyman Jebelli has traveled to Lebanon on a trip aimed at the expansion of cultural and media relations between the regional nations.

Jebelli, who was accompanied by the head of the IRIB World Service Ahmad Norouzi, arrived in the Lebanese capital of Beirut on Thursday.

Jebelli along with his delegation plans to meet Lebanese officials, resistance leaders, journalists, media organizations, and families of martyrs who were recently killed during the ongoing Israeli aggression against southern Lebanon.

During the visit, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting with the Lebanese government and Hezbollah resistance movement will sign a series of memorandum of understanding and agreements on expanding cultural and media cooperation.

He will discuss the media responsibilities and duties of the "Axis of Resistance", the challenges of this path, and how to deal with them.

The visit is reportedly aimed at consultation towards enhancement of regional media interaction as a means of better representation of the achievements of the "Axis of Resistance".

The Islamic Republic boasts a brilliant track record in the area and the IRIB chief has hailed the broadcaster's proper, punctual, and expeditious coverage of sensitive events across the region.

The trip will serve as a serious prelude to media cooperation toward the re-establishment of the resistance's accomplishments.
