Ayatollah Khamenei’s book in Spanish unveiled in Madrid
The Spanish translation of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s memoirs titled "Cell No. 14" has been unveiled in a ceremony in Madrid.
According to Press TV, a group of academicians, media members, and some government officials and ambassadors of foreign countries residing in Madrid attended the ceremony held at the Espacio Ronda Cultural Center.
In a message read out at the ceremony, Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mahdi Esmaili described “Cell No. 14” a book that explains the practical model of the struggle between right and wrong and a road map for the freedom seekers of the world.
Addressing the event, Iran’s Ambassador to Madrid Reza Zabib touched on the historical circumstances of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, saying “Cell No. 14” is the recount of the will of a person who fights for his beliefs.
“He goes to prison, is exiled, assassinated, and goes to the war front to fight the enemy. He experiences all facets from parliament membership to presidency and leadership. This is the description given by the RAND Corporation,” he said.
Iran's Cultural Attaché to Madrid, Mohammad-Mehdi Ahmadi, described Ayatollah Khamenei as a theoretician in the Islamic Revolution, whose comprehensiveness in sciences, excellent management experience and record and practical moral behavior and conduct has made him an untiring warrior against arrogance, adding his book of memoirs rightly reflect these characteristics.
Carlos Paz, a Spanish analyst and the author of Europe and Islam (Europa y el islam), criticized the Western media for publishing false and negative propaganda about Iran.
He touched on the content of the book and the struggles of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, saying like Mantiq ut-Tayr (The Conference of the Birds), it shows the way to reach justice and the truth.
The Conference of the Birds is a Persian poem by Attar-e Neishabouri. The title is taken directly from the holy Qur’an, 27:16, where Prophets Sulaiman and Dawud are said to have been taught the language or speech of the birds.
Luis Jose (Yusuf) Fernandez Ordonez, a writer, media analyst and secretary of the Muslim Federation of Spain, said the publication of the Spanish translation of “Cell No. 14” is an opportunity to know the thought and life of a combatant, political leader.
Vice President of the Islamic Revolution Research and Cultural Institute, Mohammad Akhgari, touched on a part of the book about the massacre of Palestinians in Black September (1970).
“Today, after more than half a century, we are still witnessing the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, but the way to salvation is the same concept mentioned in this book, that is, 'Victory comes with patience',” he said.
