Kanani: Iran looks at East strategically
Pars Today - Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Nasser Kanani, saying that relation with the Eastern countries has been seriously pursued as an opportunity by Iran's diplomatic apparatus, stressed, "Iran's look at the East is strategic."
Kanani stated, "Relations with Russia and China will continue seriously and decisively and the continuation of the signed documents and cooperation will secure our common interests." According to Pars Today, he added, "Relation with the East does not mean to ignore other regions and countries; thus, concurrent with spreading [relations] with the East and other Asian countries, we pay attention to relations with friendly countries, too."
Iran's foreign ministry spokesman stressed, "Any country which is intent to have constructive relations with Iran, we will welcome it, too."
Underscoring the serious prioritized pursuit of the neighborly policy in the 14th administration, Kanani made it clear, "We have different issues in the region and we consider regional cooperation as the best way to resolve misunderstandings."
