  • ICCO Head's condolence message to Pope Francis

Pars Today- Head of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization of Iran, sent a message of condolences to "Pope Francis", Head of the Catholic Church, for the demise of Cardinal Ayuso Guixot, the President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue of Vatican.

Hojjat-ol-Islam Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour, the Head of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization of Iran, in a message to Pope Francis, expressed his sorrow on passing away of the president of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue. According to Pars Today, quoting from the ICCO website, part of Imanipour's message reads, "Cardinal Miguel Ayuso Guixot spent his life for spread of dialogue with followers of various religions."

Hojjat-ol-Islam Imanipour added, "During his presence at the institution of dialogue of religions, this Christian scholar, either as a secretary of interreligious dialogue or as the head of this institute, took effective steps for promotion of human magnanimity."

The head of ICCO stressed, "The efforts of Cardinal Miguel Ayuso Guixot in the past dialogues with the center of religions of the Islamic Republic of Iran will remain in the minds forever."
