Companionship of love, poetry and revolution; 7 points highlighted by Leader in meeting with Farsi poets
Pars Today - A group of young and old poets met with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on the eve of the birth anniversary of Imam Hassan Mojtaba, the Prophet's elder grandson (Peace upon him).
In the meeting of poets and activists of Farsi language and literature with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, 36 poets read their poems in various religious, social and political issues. Then, Imam Khamenei highlighted a few points which have been addressed in this package of Pars Today.
1. Growth of committed and revolutionary poetry
During the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei expressing satisfaction with the growth of committed and revolutionary poetry, considered the poems read in the meeting as generally good and highly qualified, and said, "The spreading wave of poetry, especially among youths, is very hope-inspiring."

2. Poetry unique media and art
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution added during the meeting of poets and literary figures, "Poetry is a unique media and art which other kinds of media have failed to downgrade it as a reference."

3. Social respect and attention for poets
In another part of his remarks, he made it clear, "Our era can be the era of creating Saadi, Hafez and Nezami since, unlike the era of rebellion [pre-revolution despotic regime of Shah] in which great poets didn't enjoy respect and attention, social respect and attention for poets is at a high level."

4. Product of Islamic Revolution era
Imam Khamenei, also, called the current language of Farsi poetry as an unprecedented language and product of the revolution era and said, "This artistic privilege is another ground for rising of great poets and peaks of poetry in our era."

5. Recommendation to poets
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution had some recommendations to the poets, too. Stressing the effectiveness of a poet's inward on his composition, he recommended the poets, especially young ones, to adhere to Godwariness, cognitive principles and preservation of religiousness."

6. Romantic poetry
Imam Khamenei, also, in a special recommendation for poets concerning the frameworks of romantic poetry and lyric, said, "Composing romantic poetry, which indicates boiling of the poet's affectionate emotions, is not wrong, but romantic poetry has always been chaste and decent in the tradition of Farsi poetry. Therefore, do not let your romantic poetry go beyond the boundary of chastity and decency and be polluted with explicitness and shamelessness."

7. Joy inspiring
The Leader said that the high number of zeal-inducing social concepts in the present era creates enthusiasm to be employed in poems and added, "In this session, poems were read about martyrs Soleimani, Raeisi, Nasrallah and Sinwar which these reviving concepts can be alive in the people's minds with poem."
