The 29th of Esfand has been named as the day of "Nationalization of Oil Industry" in Iran. On this day, the bill for nationalization of oil industry all over the country was ratified in the Iranian parliament. This was registered as a historical measure in defense of the colonized and exploited Iranian nation. According to Pars Today, this day became a turning point in Iran's political history 74 years ago. Nationalization of oil industry was the outcome of a historical uprising and tough struggle.

The bill of nationalization of Ian's oil was approved on March 20, 1951 upon the proposal of the members of oil commission of the parliament and the Iranian oil was officially nationalized.

After a tense political period, the nationalization of oil industry cut off the hands of Britain and led to the gradual exit of the British from the region.
