"After the formation of the Islamic Republic, the enemies of Islam and the enemies of human societies began to think about fighting against that which is the source of this movement and has a foundation in an important part of the world; what was it? It is Islam. Today they fight against Islam; why? Because Islam is the source of growth for societies, it is the source of movement for people, it is the source for the emergence of talents, and it is the source for the emergence of a shared, spiritual and material civilization; because Islam can stop the transgressions of the oppressive material civilization of today; therefore, they fight against Islam. Today, the lead of these hostilities is in the hands of America and Zionism. They are opposed because Islam blocks their greed, it stops arrogance; so, in reality, they are opposed to Islam."

"They are afraid of genuine Islam, they are afraid of pure Islam."

Imam Khamenei stated at the eighth graduation ceremony of students from military universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army:
"Today, one of the fundamental and important tasks employed by famous artistic companies in the world is to frighten people about Islam. Why? If Islam had not threatened the interests of the world-devourers, these reactions would not be shown against it. The fact that you see groups are created, fabricated, armed, and supported in the name of Islam and in the name of the Islamic government, set upon people, and used to make countries insecure—this demonstrates the influence of Islam's message. They are afraid of genuine Islam, they are afraid of pure Islam."

They burn the Quran, insult the blessed name of the Prophet, create cartoons, write books, incite ethnic tensions against Muslims in major European capitals. What does this mean? It means Islamophobia. Well, what is the duty of Muslims here? Muslims must return to the elements of their own power; Muslims must increasingly strengthen the factors of authority and capability within themselves. One of the most important factors of authority is this very unity and solidarity."
