Pars Today – Reza Najafi, Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), described the attacks by the United States and the Israeli regime on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities as a clear example of state terrorism.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB news agency, Reza Najafi, Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), emphasized in his Monday speech under the agenda item “Nuclear Safety” that the attack on Iran’s safeguarded nuclear facilities, which endangered nuclear safety and security, constitutes a clear case of state terrorism carried out by the United States and the Israeli regime.

Najafi added that these unprecedented and illegal actions pose a serious threat to international peace and security. In addition to undermining nuclear safety and security, they damage the integrity of the nuclear non-proliferation regime.

The ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the International Atomic Energy Agency emphasized the aggressive nature of these actions, stating that the attacks by the United States and the Israeli regime on Iran’s nuclear facilities are unprecedented and must be reflected in the IAEA Director General’s reports on nuclear safety and security.

He recalled that in recent years, Iran’s delegation has sought to include provisions in IAEA documents prohibiting any attack or threat of attack against nuclear facilities, but opposition from certain parties has prevented this from being realized. The recent attacks have revealed the true reason behind this opposition.

Reza Najafi concluded by emphasizing that genuine nuclear security cannot be achieved without the complete elimination of nuclear weapons. Nuclear-armed states have not only failed to honor their commitments but continue to develop new weapons systems. Achieving true nuclear security requires the total, irreversible, and verifiable destruction of these weapons.
