Pars Today — Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, rejecting any talks about the country’s missile program, stressed that Iran’s missile program has been developed to defend the nation’s sovereignty, not for negotiation.

Esmaeil Baqaei, the spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Monday at a press briefing: “Iran’s defensive capabilities, which are designed to deter aggressors from any thought of attacking Iran, are not a subject that can be negotiated.”

According to Pars Today, Baqaei, referring to the media hype by Israeli and American outlets about the possibility of a repeat of military aggression by the Zionist regime against Iran under the pretext of the missile program, emphasized: “The defensive capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran are designed to deter aggressors from any thought of attack and are by no means a matter that can be discussed or bargained over.”

The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, commenting on Zionists’ efforts to persuade Americans to carry out another military aggression against Iran, noted: “We are facing hypocrisy; on the one hand, Iran’s missile program is portrayed as a threat, and on the other hand, a flood of weapons of mass destruction is being supplied to the Zionist regime, which is committing genocide and has attacked seven countries over the past two years. This is a contradiction for which the United States and other supporters of this regime must be held accountable.”

Baqaei, referring to the hybrid and media war against Iran, expressed confidence, saying: “Iran’s armed forces know very well how to defend the Iranian nation whenever necessary and will continue to carry out their duties without paying attention to this propaganda.”

The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs went on to say: “The reality is that the West Asia region continues to be grappling with a persistent problem, which is nothing other than the continuation of the crimes of the Zionist regime. The various developments in Gaza should not distract us from the crimes taking place in the West Bank. The ongoing arbitrary arrests, torture, killing of Palestinians, and extremely inhumane treatment are all clear examples of crimes against humanity.”

Baqaei, speaking about resistance, said: “Resistance is deeply rooted and an innate phenomenon, and as long as occupation, oppression, and racism continue, it will naturally persist and regenerate.”

He added: “Resistance exists within society and in the hearts of the people of this region, and the reason for this is completely clear, because we are facing an abnormal situation in our region—namely, the creation of an occupying and racist entity.”
