Iran’s national padel team defeats Saudi Arabia
Pars Today – The Dubai Ramadan Cup continued with a 2–1 victory for Iran’s national padel team over Saudi Arabia, strengthening Iran’s position among the contenders for qualification.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the Dubai Ramadan Cup kicked off on Saturday in the United Arab Emirates, featuring the national teams of Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, and Bahrain.
Iran, drawn in Group B alongside Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Morocco, secured a 2–1 win over Saudi Arabia early Monday in its second match of the tournament. The victory eliminated Saudi Arabia from the competition and boosted Iran’s chances of advancing from the group stage.
In the other Group B match, Morocco defeated Kuwait by the same 2–1 scoreline, keeping the race for qualification tightly contested.
Group A includes the UAE, Egypt, Bahrain, and Lebanon, where teams are also engaged in a close battle to reach the next round.
