Iran’s national Physics Olympiad team shines at 2026 Olympiad

Pars Today – Iran’s national Physics Olympiad team delivered an impressive performance at the 2026 International Physics Olympiad in Colombia, winning three gold medals and two silver medals.

According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, the national team of the Islamic Republic of Iran achieved this success at the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO 2026), hosted by Colombia.

The Iranian team members who represented the country in the global competition were Hirbod Foodazi, Kian Zarabian, Nima Koushki, Amirsam Goharpei, and Mohammad Mirmohammadi. Together, they earned a total of three gold medals and two silver medals for Iran.
