According to Pars Today, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, stated on his personal page that the U.S. President made seven claims in one hour, all of which are false, adding: "They did not win the war with these lies, nor will they get anywhere in negotiations."
Emphasizing that if the siege continues, the Strait of Hormuz will not remain open, Qalibaf said: "Transit through the strait will be conducted according to a 'designated route' and with 'Iran's permission.'"
He added: "Whether the strait is open or closed, and the rules governing it, are determined by the battlefield, not by social media networks."
Qalibaf concluded by saying: "Media warfare and the engineering of public opinion are a major part of the conflict, and the Iranian nation will not be swayed by such tricks."
