Iran warns U.S. following seizure of Tuska ship

Pars Today – Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Tuesday regarding the U.S. seizure of an Iranian commercial vessel and the detention of its crew and their families.

According to Pars Today, the Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the U.S. action against the Iranian commercial ship and the hostage‑taking of its crew and their families. The statement warned of the very dangerous consequences of the United States’ illegal and criminal act, and emphasized the need for the immediate release of the Iranian vessel, its sailors, crew members, and their families.

The statement added: “There is no doubt that the Islamic Republic of Iran will use all its capacities to defend Iran’s national interests and security and to safeguard the rights and dignity of Iranians. It is clear that full responsibility for any further complication of the situation in the region lies with the United States.”

The United States carried out an attack on the Tuska container ship last Sunday and took its crew hostage.
