Pezeshkian: IRGC prominent symbol of national power, homeland’s steel defensive shield

Pars Today – In a congratulatory message on the anniversary of the establishment of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the President of Iran said: The IRGC is a prominent symbol of national power and the steel defensive shield of the Islamic homeland against hostility.

According to Pars Today, Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, in a message marking the anniversary of the establishment of the IRGC, described this day as a reminder of the prudence and foresight of the great founder of the Islamic Revolution in creating an institution rooted in the people of Iran, which throughout the history of the Revolution has played a decisive role in safeguarding the country’s independence, security, and dignity.

Referring to the position of this institution, he described it as a “pure and robust tree” that has always cast its protective shade and exerted influence along the Revolution’s challenging path.

Reviewing the IRGC’s record from the victory of the Revolution until now, Pezeshkian emphasized the role of this institution during the Sacred Defense (Iran–Iraq War) and in confronting internal and external threats, and added that the IRGC, with faith, courage, and initiative, has been able to disrupt the enemies’ calculations and, as a steadfast shield, protect the ideals of the Revolution and the integrity of the country.
