Araghchi: Calling Hormuz anything else a terrible mistake

Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Minister wrote on the occasion of National Persian Gulf Day: Using any name other than Hormuz is undoubtedly a “very bad mistake.”
According to Pars Today, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, wrote in a message marking National Persian Gulf Day: “Today is Persian Gulf Day in Iran, marking our ancestors' expulsion of Portuguese from Strait of Hormuz 400 years ago.”
He added: “The President of the United States uses the correct term “Persian Gulf", not the Pentagon’s fake version. But calling Hormuz anything else is indeed a "terrible mistake".
