The Strait of Hormuz
Pars Today – The commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters emphasized in a statement that Iran’s armed forces have full oversight and control over the Strait of Hormuz, stating that under all circumstances, any safe passage through the strait must be coordinated with the Iranian military forces.
According to Pars Today, Major General Ali Abdollahi, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran, asserted:
The criminal leaders and the aggressive, terrorist U.S. military, who in recent times have resorted to piracy and plunder in international waters—placing global trade and the economy at risk—must now understand that the resilient and brave Iranian nation, along with the ready and powerful armed forces of the Islamic Republic, have proven in action that they respond to any threat or aggression from enemies, at any level and in any region of Iran, with severe and regret-inducing consequences.
He stated: We are preserving and powerfully managing the security of the Strait of Hormuz with all our capabilities, and we warn all commercial vessels and oil tankers to refrain from any movement through the strait without coordination with the Iranian armed forces stationed there, so that their own safety is not endangered.
Major General Ali Abdollahi also issued a warning to the United States:
Any foreign armed forces—especially the aggressive U.S. military—will be attacked if they attempt to approach or enter the Strait of Hormuz.
He further emphasized: The malicious supporters of America should be cautious and avoid actions that would lead to irreversible regret, because any aggressive U.S. move intended to disrupt the current situation will only complicate matters and endanger the security of vessels in the area.
