Pars Today – The head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia announced that trade between the two countries in 2025 has increased by more than 20 percent compared to the previous year.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Valery Pikalov, head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, expressed hope during a meeting with Kazem Jalali, Iran’s ambassador to Moscow, that with the activation of all trade routes between the two countries, a significant growth in trade volume would be seen in the current year.

Pikalov described Iran as a strategic partner of Russia and said cooperation between the two countries, especially in the customs sector, is continuing to develop.

He also announced the readiness of the Russian Customs Service to facilitate customs procedures and remove trade barriers between Iran and Russia.

In another part of his remarks, the head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia called the Iranian people’s defense of their country heroic and emphasized the support of the Russian government and people for Iran.
