Pars Today – On the 37th anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini (God bless his soul), the founder of the Islamic Revolution, large crowds of Iranians are once again attending commemorative ceremonies to honor his memory.

According to Pars Today, the people of Iran have gathered in large numbers and with strong enthusiasm to mark the anniversary of the passing of the great leader, reaffirming their loyalty to the ideals of the Revolution, the late Imam, and the Leader of the Revolution.

From the early hours of Thursday morning, the Imam Khomeini Mausoleum, along with hundreds of cities and villages across the country, has witnessed heartfelt public participation. Despite 37 years having passed since the demise of the founder of the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian people continue to regard his path, thought, and ideology as a guiding light for the nation.

People from various walks of life, families of martyrs, veterans, officials, and members of the second and third generations of the Revolution gathered at the ceremony to once again renew their pledge of allegiance to the ideals of the late Imam.

Reports from across Iran indicate the large-scale and dignified holding of commemorative events marking the anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s passing, with widespread public participation. This turnout reflects the continued bond between the Iranian nation and the values of the Islamic Revolution and the enduring legacy of its founder.

Hojjatoleslam Seyed Mohammad Reza Mirtajeddini, Deputy for Ceremonies and Provincial Affairs at Iran’s Coordination Council for Islamic Propagation, referring to the slogan of the 37th anniversary commemoration, said:

“The central slogan of this year is ‘Pledge with the Imams of the Revolution and Allegiance to the Leader.’ Allegiance is a concept embodied in Eid al-Ghadir. The coincidence of these two occasions has created an opportunity and context for renewing allegiance to the righteous successor of the martyred Imam.”
