Pars Today – The Public Relations Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced early Saturday that the IRGC Navy had targeted U.S. military positions in the region in response to the U.S. military's airstrike on the coasts of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, the IRGC Public Relations Office issued the following statement:

In the Name of God, the Crusher of the Tyrants

"So whoever transgresses against you, transgress against him in the same measure as he has transgressed against you." (Qur'an 2:194)

Following the Israeli regime's violation of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon, the United States—once again breaching its commitments—carried out an airstrike on the coasts of the Islamic Republic of Iran a few hours ago under the pretext of preventing the passage of a vessel that had allegedly attempted to transit the Strait of Hormuz through an unauthorized route.

In response to this act of aggression, the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted U.S. military positions in the region.

According to Article 5 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, responsibility for regulating transit through the Strait of Hormuz rests with the Islamic Republic of Iran. However, the statement said, the United States sought to violate this commitment through various provocations and was met with an appropriate response. It added that any future acts of aggression would be met in the same manner, warning that any repeated aggression would draw a broader response.
