Burial site of martyred Leader at Holy Razavi Shrine announced
Pars Today — The head of the information and media department of the Holy Razavi Shrine said that, following the funeral procession and prayer ceremony, the body of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution and his family members will be transferred to one of the halls near the sacred shrine, where the burial ceremony will take place in the presence of the family and the household of the late Leader.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Hojjatoleslam Moslem Houshangi, head of the information and media department of the Holy Razavi Shrine, told reporters on Thursday on the sidelines of the funeral ceremony that the courtyards of the Imam Reza Shrine and the surrounding streets are currently filled with pilgrims and residents who have traveled to Mashhad from across Iran.
He added that the crowd, which had gathered to renew its allegiance to the martyred Leader and servant of Imam Reza (pbuh), was beyond imagination.
Houshangi noted that guests from 27 countries were in Mashhad to attend the funeral and burial ceremonies of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, adding that the streets, underpasses, and parking areas surrounding the shrine were packed with visitors and pilgrims.
He further explained that, at the conclusion of the funeral ceremony, prayers for the martyred leader and his family would be held in the Prophet Azam Courtyard, as well as in all courtyards, halls, and streets leading to the shrine, including Navab Safavi, Ayatollah Shirazi, and Tabarsi streets.
He also stated that the Laylat al-Dafn prayers was held at 8 p.m., simultaneously with ceremonies taking place across the country.
