Baghaei: Iran is one united body

Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman reacted to the use of the phrase “southern Iran,” writing: “Iran has no north, south, east, or west; Iran is one body, one interconnected soul.”

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei wrote in a post on social media:

“Those who deliberately speak of ‘southern Iran’ seek to create in the minds of their audience the image of a land defined by its geographical divisions.

Iran can neither be divided by the ruler of geography nor fragmented by words. Iran has no north, south, east, or west; Iran is one body, one interconnected soul.

From the heights of its mountains to the depths of its seas, from its sun-scorched shores to the majestic silence of its deserts, every particle of this land is Iran.

This country is a heart as vast as history itself—a heart that has been beating for thousands of years, that has been wounded and has roared in defiance, yet has never ceased to beat. Iranians regard every corner of this land as part of that heart, a heart filled with love for this proud and resilient homeland.”
