Iran, France ink 5 MoUs to expand mutual cooperation
Tehran and Paris signed five memoranda of understanding (MoUs) to broaden cooperation in different fields.
The MoUs were concluded in the presence of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his French counterpart Jean-Marc Ayrault in Tehran on Tuesday.
The five MoUs signed between the two countries' economic actors include cooperation on development of Mashhad Airport, a document on construction of a bioethanol factory in Kermanshah and two documents in the field of fisheries with the aim of producing caviar and technology transfer.
Another MoU was signed between Alborz Chamber of Commerce and a French company to hold aviation training and pilot training courses for Iran and regional countries.
The French top diplomat arrived in Tehran on Monday.
The French embassy in Tehran in a statement on Sunday said Ayrault would focus on the full implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) by all sides and also holding of the first joint economic commission meeting of Paris and Tehran during his visit to Iran.
"During his two-day visit to Tehran, Ayrault will preside over meeting of the first Iran-France Joint Economic Commission," the statement said.
It also said that the French foreign minister will review implementation of the nuclear deal reached between Tehran and the P5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany).
