Pars Today – Iranian players concluded the 28th Asian Youth Chess Championships in Shenzhen, China, with a total of eight medals.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, the standout achievement came from Ramtin Kakavand, who delivered a commanding performance to win the gold medal in the Under-14 standard event.

In the standard competition, in addition to Kakavand's gold medal, Asal Ebrahimi Rashti (Under-16), Arshia Alaghehmand (Under-14), and Mahsa Alavi (Under-18) each claimed silver medals, while Erfan Ahmadi (Under-18) earned a bronze medal.

In the blitz event, Asal Ebrahimi Rashti won a silver medal in the Under-16 category, while Benita Garousi captured a bronze medal in the Under-10 division.

In the rapid competition, Mahsa Alavi secured another silver medal after finishing runner-up in the Under-18 category.

Overall, Iran finished the championships with one gold, five silver, and two bronze medals, collecting a total of eight medals—a notable achievement that once again highlighted the strength and promising future of Iranian chess at the continental level.
