US President Donald Trump, in a bid to indulge in psychological warfare as part of his blind enmity against the Islamic Republic, on Friday heaped lies and insults on Iran and said he will choose not to recertify the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which in accordance with US internal laws, unrelated to the 7-nation international nuclear accord regarding Iran’s peaceful nuclear programme, he is required to recertify every three months.

The deadline for recertifying it is on October 15 and whether he recertifies or not, it does not affect the validity of the nuclear accord which was finalized in 2015 in Geneva and to which the US, along with the UK, France, Germany, Russia and China, is a signatory, and cannot terminate it unilaterally.

Trump, who has been threatening to terminate the JCPOA on the assumption of forcing Iran to renegotiate it, stopped short of pulling out the US, and merely asked Congress to review it in the next sixty days by taking into account Iran’s growing influence in the region and its ballistic missile development programme, which are totally outside the terms and conditions of the JCPOA.

As usual, Trump accused Iran of spreading terror when the fact of the matter is that the main supporter and promoter of terrorism in the Middle East and around the world, is the US administration.

In his Friday’s speech he sounded delirious and out of touch with realities, when he blurted: “I am authorizing the Treasury Department to further sanction the entire Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) for its support for terrorism and to apply sanctions to its officials, agents and affiliates."

It is obvious that the US president, misled by the illegal Zionist entity, is going down an abyss, unaware of the fact that any hostile move against the IRGC will bring crushing response from Iran and designation of the entire US armed forces as terrorists on a par with Daesh, and deserving the same treatment from Iran.

The US, which is trying to meddle in the affairs of Syria and other regional countries, whose stability Iran’s timely help has guaranteed, seemed frustrated, as could be borne out by Trump’s remarks on Syria, Iran and other issues of West, which was nothing but trash.
