Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani in a telephone conversation with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad ale-Thani underlined Tehran's readiness to share technical know-how and services with Qatar.

"Iranian companies are completely ready to export their technical and engineering services to Qatar, specially in projects related to the upcoming 2022 World Cup," President Rouhani said.

The Iranian president underlined that there are ample potentials and opportunities for cementing relations between Iran and Qatar in political and economic fields, and said, "There is no obstacle in the way of deepening such relations."

Qatari emir, for his part, said that his country is willing to develop all-inclusive relations with Iran.

He pointed to the friendly relations between the two countries in different areas, and said that Iran adopted a constructive role in Qatar-Saudi Arabia row.

The Qatari emir said, "Thanks to the integrity and solidarity of Qatari people and cooperation and help of friend countries, specially Iran, we have overcome the issues of the unjust, cruel siege and we will never forget Iran’s stances in this regard."

The Qatari emir reiterated his country's opposition to the violation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and said that the Qatari government has always sought to consolidate its relations with Tehran and supports peaceful solutions to political problems.

Rouhani also invited Emir of Qatar to attend the 3rd Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit, which is to be held in Tehran on October 13-15.

Saudi Arabia and its allies, including the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt severed ties with Qatar in early June 2017 over charges that it supports terrorism. They have accordingly imposed a land, sea and air blockade against Qatar thus leaving only a sea and air corridor open with Iran.

Iran has become a corridor for exports of other countries to the blockaded Persian Gulf state.
