In the 2019 Asian Cup, Iran have prepared for Monday's semi-final against Japan, with Coach Carlos Queiroz calling on his players to stick to Iran football.
According to Press TV, Iran’s National Football Team (Team Melli) advanced to the last 4 after cruising past China 3-0 in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. Iran have had the best defensive record in the tournament so far as they are yet to concede a goal, while Japan have already shipped 3.
The last time Iran won the Asian Cup title was back in 1976 when they hosted the continental showpiece on home soil.
