Pars Today- Export of Iranian drone "Mohajer" to Ethiopia, displaying Iran's capabilities in Baghdad defense exhibition, incorporation of new equipment to the Iranian navy, joint Iran-Azerbaijan war-game and holding Iran-Russia military pentathlon championship are excerpts of the latest military news of Iran.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has taken steady steps for the past four decades towards progress in the field of military technologies. According to Pars Today, the presence of the Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles "Mohajer" in an Ethiopian airbase is an indicative of the entry of Iranian military exports to Africa.

Iran is going to turn into an exporter of advanced military equipment to the world and it has expanded the sale of its drones from South America to Africa.

Display of Iranian UAVs and missiles in Baghdad exhibition

The Baghdad International Exhibition of Security and Defense was held with the presence of military representatives from 22 countries, including the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics of Iran.

The Iranian Defense Ministry has showcased different achievements of the defense industry in this exhibition including the Mohajer drone family, high-range Gaza drone, Dehlavieh anti-armor missiles, air defense systems, individual weapons and equipment of electronic warfare.

New equipment soon to be incorporated to Iranian navy

Rear Admiral, Shahram Irani, Iranian Navy Commander, said, "Soon, we will have incorporations in the naval domain and effective presence in all oceans has also been put on the agenda as our priority."

Irani added, "The Iranian Navy has gained access to advances drones which has enhanced the naval combat ability in the field of drone."

Holding joint Iran-Azerbaijan maneuver

Brigadier General Amir Cheshak, Deputy of Operation of Iran's Ground Force, said, "The joint Iran-Azerbaijan war-game was held in one day in West Azarbaijan province with one battalion of special and rapid reaction forces in order to encounter terrorism and maintain sustainable security of Aras Dam which has been threatened by terrorist groups.

Holding Iran-Russia pentathlon military championships

Brigadier General, Mehdi Sarvar, Commander of Amir-ol-Momenin University of the IRGC Ground Force, informed of holding the pentathlon camp of the elite of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Armed Forces with the elite of the Russian Federation Armed Forces.

General Sarvar made it clear, "The next camp will also be held in Russia with the elite forces of the two countries."

Holding the exercise of Sayyad compound command base of the Iranian Army and 5 countries

The exercise of Sayyad Compound Command Base of Iran's Army, "Security Ring 2024" was held in Imam Ali Officer University with the motto of "Security for All" with the participation of Belarus, Azerbaijan Republic, Tajikistan, Kazakhsatn, Kyrgyzstan and the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army as the host.

Brigadier General Mahmood Mahmoodi, Training Commander of Sayyad Compound Command Base, said, "In this exercise, Belarus cooperated with us in designing and execution of operation, and the four countries of Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan had sent delegations to supervise the exercise."

This exercise was held in three days in Imam Ali Officer University of the Iranian Army.

General Mahmoodi added, "The aim of this exercise is to create coordination, synergy and consolidation of defense diplomacy for Muslim, likeminded, neighborly countries and the countries that are active in the field of combating terrorism and are interested to pursue these issues."

Increase of exports of Iran's defense products

Brigadier General Talaee Nik, Spokesman of the Iranian Defense Ministry, said, "The targeting of this year has been done in a way to have 50 percent increase in the field of defense products exports."

General Talaee Nik added, "The whole Defense Ministry, with the wise guidance and prudence of the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces [Ayatollah Khamenei], has taken big strides according to its missions in the way of leap in making of defense products and securing the needs of the Armed Forces."

Presence of the IRGC ballistic-launcher warship near Diego Garcia Island

Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, the Commander of the IRGC Navy, said, "Shahid Mahdavi warship for he firs time went near Diego Garcia Island, the place of deployment of the American forces."

He added, "In this mission, Shahid Mahdavi warship, passing through important and strategic straits, like Malaga, and the Equator, passed by the US fifth fleet's region and entered the region of the US Navy's 7^th fleet."

Ministry of Defense announces preparedness for cooperation with Zimbabwe

Brigadier General, Ashtiani, Defense Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a meeting with the Zimbabwean Vice-President, Constantino Chiwenga, said, "The Iranian Defense Ministry announces its will to set up friendly relations with all African countries, especially independent and revolutionary country of Zimbabwe."

General Ashtiani, referring to late President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi's last year trip to Harare and the upcoming trip of the Zimbabwean president to Tehran, said, "These interactions indicate the importance that the two countries deem in high levels for development of bilateral ties."
