Pars Today - The French president had a one-hour phone call with Iran’s new President, discussing various issues, including the lifting of sanctions, the Ukraine war, and the latest developments in Gaza and Lebanon.

In a phone conversation, Emmanuel Macron, congratulated Masoud Pezeshkian on his election as the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and discussed some issues with him. According to Pars Today, Macron expressed hope that Iran's relations with France and other European countries would improve more than ever in the new era.

Pezeshkian for his part, considered the political and cultural background between Iran and France as a suitable basis for developing diplomatic interactions between the two countries and announced Iran's readiness to enhance ties with France based on mutual trust and cooperation.

Pezeshkian, while announcing the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to continue negotiations for lifting sanctions within the agreed framework, considered the fulfillment of all commitments by the parties and the cessation of unjust pressures and sanctions against the Iranian nation as the minimum expectation of Iran from this agreement and a suitable basis for continuing and advancing the dialogues.

Iran’s president also emphasized that Iran has fulfilled all its commitments under the JCPOA, based on more than 15 reports by the International Atomic Energy Agency, but the Americans have not only failed to fulfill their commitments but have also imposed additional oppressive sanctions on the Iranian people.

Pezeshkian also expressed deep concern about the escalation of tensions on the southern borders of Lebanon with the Zionist regime and warned about the consequences of any aggression against Lebanon, adding that the Zionist regime would make a big mistake if it attacked Lebanon, which would have severe consequences.

Pezeshkian also referred to the heinous crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the genocide of the people of Gaza, killing women and children, attacking hospitals and relief forces, and emphasized that the Zionists have not spared any crime against the Palestinians for over 74 years, violating all international laws and frameworks.

He finally expressed hope that other countries would also fulfill their responsibilities towards the oppressed people of Gaza and that Iran would not spare any effort to resolve the crisis in Gaza and establish peace and stability in the region.
