The Iranian embassy and consulates in different cities of Turkey extended their condolences to the Turkish government and nation over the death of their beloved ones in the Tuesday terrorist attack at Istanbul airport.
"The embassy and consulates of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkey condole with the Turkish government and nation, specially the families of victims, over the criminal act," read a message by the Iranian missions in Turkey on Wednesday.
The crime "underlines again the necessity for the international community's comprehensive and serious confrontation against terrorism and extremism", it added.
Gun and bomb attacks on Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport killed 36 people and injured more than 140 others.
