Pars Today — In a strategic admission that revealed the weakness and confusion of Israel’s cabinet, the Israeli army has officially announced, retreating from Benjamin Netanyahu’s promises, that disarming Hezbollah is impossible and that this slogan has been removed from the list of war objectives.

According to Pars Today, Hebrew‑language media on Friday published shocking details revealing that Israeli army generals are now only seeking to push the resistance forces back to a depth of four kilometers from the northern border, and they are not even certain they can achieve this limited goal.

This historic retreat comes despite the fact that until a week ago, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the regime’s war minister had been promising the complete destruction and disarmament of the resistance in Lebanon.

At the same time, as the Israeli regime’s unsuccessful attacks against Lebanon continue, the regime’s radio and television networks and newspapers today revealed a major shift in the military‑political stance of Netanyahu’s cabinet—one that signals the acceptance of a strategic defeat against Hezbollah in Lebanon and the resistance front.

“Disarming Hezbollah” no longer a war objective

The Israeli army radio, in a frank admission, announced that previous statements about disarming Hezbollah as a war objective were overly ambitious.

The outlet, citing military sources from the Israeli regime, emphasized that under current conditions disarming Hezbollah is completely impossible and that this objective has been removed from the agenda.

According to these sources, what is now defined as the new objective is merely pushing Hezbollah away from the northern border to a depth of about four kilometers.
