Arab analyst: The countdown to America's greatest defeat has begun

Pars Today – An Arab analyst, referring to Iran's intensive missile and drone strikes on U.S. bases in the region and Trump's desperation, has emphasized that the coming days are very important and may mark the beginning of the countdown to America's greatest defeat in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, and the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Abdul Bari Atwan, an Arab analyst, wrote in an article in the newspaper *Ray al-Youm*, referring to regional developments: "When the 'Arab' and 'Muslim' mediators emerge from their short 'summer slumber' and realize that the U.S. military has violated the ceasefire and the memorandum of understanding with Iran, without any of them daring to condemn it—at first glance, this means that President Donald Trump feels defeated and is suffering from the present and future pains of this defeat, and is seeking quick ways to reduce losses and casualties."

Missile and drone strikes: Trump's great nightmare

He continued: "The greatest nightmare that has tormented President Trump over the past three days and compelled him to take urgent action to pursue the proposed 10-day ceasefire is Iran's advanced missile and drone strikes on U.S. bases in Jordan. These strikes, for the first time since the start of the war five months ago, exposed casualties among U.S. forces, with America officially confirming the deaths of three soldiers and the wounding of dozens."

Atwan added: "Neither the U.S. Congress nor the Senate can remove U.S. presidents, especially Trump—only the coffins of fallen American soldiers can do that. This is what happened to President Johnson during the Vietnam War and to President Joe Biden in Afghanistan. All current evidence from Iran and the Strait of Hormuz indicates that President Trump may be the third to face this fate."
