Iraqi army takes control of key hospital in western Mosul
Iraqi army troops continued their advances in Nineveh Province, and managed to take control of an ISIL-controlled hospital in the western parts of Mosul.
"The 9th Armored Brigade's troops entered al-Salam Hospital in the western side of Mosul and purged the hospital of terrorists," the Arabic-language al-Forat news quoted Commander of Nineveh Liberation Operation, General Abdel Amir Yarallah, as saying on Tuesday.
On Monday, Commander of Iraq's Counterterrorism Forces Wahab al-Saedi disclosed that ISIL's so-called oil minister was killed in Nineveh Province.
"Abu Izzam, ISIL's oil minister, was killed by Iraqi security forces during the operations in areas and villages east of the city of Mosul," al-Saedi said.
