Bahrainis protest Aal-e Khalifa regime crackdown
Hundreds of Bahrainis have staged rallies in several areas across the Persian Gulf kingdom in condemnation of the Aal-e Khalifa regime’s crackdown on dissent.
The protests were held in the villages of Diraz, Deih and Karzakan after Friday Prayers.
Carrying photos of the country’s political figures, the protesters also expressed their solidarity with the detained political activists and opposition leaders, demanding their immediate release.
They also stressed that they will keep protesting until the people’s demands are met.
Since February 14, 2011, thousands of anti-regime protesters have held numerous demonstrations on an almost daily basis in Bahrain, calling for the Aal-e Khalifa family to relinquish power.
