How Trump\'s threat turned into empty claim!
Pars Today – Analysts have examined the non-implementation of U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat to "attack Gaza if all Israeli hostages were not released".
U.S. President Donald Trump had clearly threatened last Tuesday that if all Israeli hostages were not released by Saturday (February 15), "all hell will break loose." That Saturday came, and according to the ceasefire agreement, only three Israeli hostages were released.
According to Pars Today, Mohammad Mohsen Fayezi, an expert on Palestinian issues, wrote: Trump’s threats and clear ultimatum drew significant attention from many analysts and media activists. Some even spoke of the possibility of a return to war and the collapse of the ceasefire by Saturday, given the impossibility of Hamas releasing all the hostages.
Fayezi added: But very quickly, by Friday, it became clear that there was no sign of hell. The flow of goods and trucks increased, and on average, 600 trucks entered the Gaza Strip daily; twice as much as before Abu Ubaida suspended the agreement.
This expert emphasized: Messages exchanged by mediators between Hamas and Tel Aviv also showed that Netanyahu’s representatives had no insistence on Trump’s threat, and contrary to some views, there seemed to be no short-term coordination or scenario between Trump’s deadline and the release of all hostages by Saturday, or if there was, it had no effect on Hamas.
Trump’s bluff; no migration in sight
Also in this regard, Mohammad Imani wrote in a note: The authority of Gaza’s resistance led even the prime minister of the Zionist regime to dismiss Trump’s ultimatum and accept Hamas’ demand to exchange three Israeli hostages for the release of 370 Palestinian prisoners. Hamas set the location near the house of the late Yahya Sinwar for the release of the three Israeli hostages, while in response to Trump’s bluff about evacuating Gaza, banners read: “No migration is happening, except to al-Quds.”
Imani added: Netanyahu preferred to concede to Hamas’ demands rather than trust Trump’s bluff and accepted the exchange. Coinciding with this important event, Trump, in an obvious retreat, said: “Israel will now have to decide what they will do about the 12:00 o'clock deadline. The United States will back the decision they make!”
The courageous resistance of Palestinians
Lebanese analyst Roni Alpha praised the persistence of Palestinian resistance in Gaza against the continuous attacks by the Zionist regime over the past year and a half, saying: For more than a year and a half, Palestinians have shown courageous resistance. Their weapons are their bodies and the bones of their youth, which they use to destroy Israeli tanks and the occupiers' armored vehicles.
Alpha emphasized: For over a year and a half, the army that considers itself powerful in West Asia has been unable to achieve victory in this war because this land does not belong to them, and the history of this land has no connection with the occupiers. Resistance fighters emerge from underground and shake the earth beneath the occupiers’ feet.
