Pars Today – The leaders of BRICS have condemned the aggressive attack by the Zionist regime on Iran.

According to Pars Today, the leaders of BRICS member states, during the 17th summit of the group held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday, condemned the military attacks by the Zionist regime and the U.S. against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Based on Clause 21 of the BRICS leaders' statement, the military attacks against the Islamic Republic of Iran on June 13 were condemned as a violation of international law and the UN Charter.

The statement also described the deliberate attacks on Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities as a breach of international law and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) resolutions, expressing deep concern over them.

The BRICS leaders' statement addressed a wide range of issues related to international peace and security, development, economic inequalities, the environment, unilateralism, economic sanctions, genocide, and the crimes of the Zionist regime in occupied Palestine.

On June 13, the Zionist regime blatantly violated international law and the national sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran by targeting areas in Tehran and several other cities, including the country's nuclear facilities, in a military attack.

During the 12-day assault, a number of scientists, military personnel, and civilians were martyred.

In continuation of this aggression, the U.S. also joined the Zionist regime's war against Iran in practice by directly attacking nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan in the early hours of Sunday (June 22).
