Pars Today — Violent conduct by U.S. immigration officers during deportation operations has sparked a wave of protests and tension in cities such as New York, Chicago, and Boston.

The violent conduct of U.S. immigration officers in their dealings with immigrants has led to increased tensions in cities such as New York, Chicago, and other areas. According to Pars Today, citing Reuters, large-scale operations to arrest and deport undocumented immigrants, ordered by U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday and Friday, have sparked protests in major cities.

On Wednesday night, a shooting occurred near a migrant detention center in Dallas, resulting in one death and two injuries. The suspect in the incident died by suicide. Authorities stated that the individual had intended to target immigration officers.

Trump has stated that the operations focus on criminal immigrants; however, officers have thus far detained numerous individuals without criminal records. Hispanic residents in some cities reported being stopped solely based on their appearance—an allegation the administration has denied. Recently, the U.S. Supreme Court also overturned a ruling that had prohibited stops based on race or language.

Published images show officers in New York holding a woman with her hands tied on the ground, while her young child cried beside her. In Chicago, officers dispersed protesters with tear gas, and in Boston, a woman was seriously injured during an immigration operation.

Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California, issued an order prohibiting immigration officers from using masks, but the Trump administration deemed it necessary for officer safety. The Department of Homeland Security has also warned the states of California, New York, and Illinois that they must cooperate in the deportation of criminal immigrants.

The states of Illinois and New York have refused to provide information on the release dates of criminal immigrants from their jails. The Trump administration recently conducted an operation titled "Operation Midway Blitz" in Chicago and parts of Illinois. Additionally, the National Guard has been deployed in Los Angeles and Washington D.C. to support the administration's immigration policies.
