Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, responded to remarks made by the U.S. president during speeches at Israel’s Knesset and Egypt’s Sharm el-Sheikh summit, writing on his X account that “Iran will resist oppression.”

Araghchi, wrote on his X account on Tuesday that it has now become entirely clear the U.S. president has been misled by false information suggesting Iran’s peaceful nuclear program was nearing weaponization earlier this spring.

According to Pars Today, he added that this claim is nothing but a “big lie,” stressing that the president should have been informed there is no evidence to support it — a fact even confirmed by the U.S. intelligence community itself.

Araghchi stated: “How can the Iranian people be expected to believe in an olive branch of peace offered by someone who, just four months ago, was involved in bombing homes and urban areas across Iran?”

The Iranian foreign minister emphasized that Iran has always been ready for respectful and reciprocal diplomatic engagement. He added that the Iranian people — worthy heirs of an ancient and rich civilization — respond to goodwill with goodwill, but at the same time, “we know precisely how to resist and confront oppression and coercion.”

Iran’s ambassador mocks Trump being called “Cyrus”

A ceremony marking the 2,550th anniversary of the proclamation of the world’s first charter of human rights was held in Moscow, attended by a number of ambassadors and cultural enthusiasts. During the event, Iran’s ambassador made a pointed remark directed at those who had referred to former U.S. President Donald Trump as “Cyrus”

The Iranian ambassador, speaking at the ceremony, said that Eastern civilization has always been founded on principles of tolerance, respect for human dignity, and coexistence. He noted, “We witnessed one of the officials of the criminal Zionist regime use the phrase ‘Trump as Cyrus the Great.’ It must be reminded to those who address the U.S. president in such a way that one cannot call someone who supports the massacre of tens of thousands of people in a small land called Gaza a defender of human rights.”
