Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Ebrahim Rahimpour
Deputy Foreign Minister Ebrahim Rahimpour voiced Iran's readiness to cooperate with Afghanistan to establish peace and settle crisis in that country.
"We are prepared to cooperate with Afghanistan for establishing peace and settling domestic and regional issues in that country," Rahimpour said on Saturday.
The Iranian deputy foreign minister reiterated that it is imperative for the regional countries to send a resolute message to terrorists that they are committed to fight terrorism in the region.
The second round of talks on Afghanistan was held in December 2016 with the participation of Russia, Pakistan, China, India, Iran and Afghanistan.
Rahimpour led the Iranian delegation in Afghanistan conference in Moscow.
In relevant remarks in early April, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced that her country has invited Iran to take part in the conference on Afghanistan in Moscow at the highest diplomatic level.
She reiterated that the talks will focus on security in Afghanistan.
Zakharova also said that other countries such as Afghanistan, Central Asian states, China, India, Pakistan and the US have also been invited to attend the conference.
