Iran condemns terrorist blasts in Philippines

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi, in a formal statement on Sunday, categorically condemned the terrorist attack on a church in the Southern regions of the Philippines, offering sympathies to the government and people of the Southeast Asian country.

Qassemi offered deepest sympathies to the bereaved families and the government of the Philippines, as well as Filipino nation, over a deadly terrorist attack on a church in the Southern regions of the country.

“Reaching to violent means which mainly victimize the lives of innocent people is abominable and rejected regardless of where it is happening,” he underlined.

According to early official reports, a twin-bomb attack on a religious ceremony in the church has claimed the lives of at least 21 and injured 71 people.
