Establishment of New Civilization in Second Phase of Islamic Revolution (1)

The Islamic Republic of Iran, upon entering the 5th decade of the post-revolution era, has entered a new phase of its existence.

The Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, has named this phase as the second phase of the Islamic Revolution. Meanwhile, what are the features of the second phase of Islamic Revolution, and what hurdles and difficulties does it face?

We will study and discuss this topic of importance throughout a series of episodes.

Within the past four decades, Islamic Iran has put behind the imposed war, economic siege, embargoes, and economic pressures, and has succeeded in using these difficult stages as an opportunity and experience for reinforcement of the foundations of the sacred Islamic system. Now, by reliance upon these experiences, Islamic Iran's approach in the beginning of the 5^th decade of the post-revolution era, is movement on the path of Resistance Economy within the framework of the second phase of Islamic Revolution.

Upon entry to this new era, one should undoubtedly be prepared to counter problems and challenges. The experience gained from the past four decades shows that one of the strategic goals of the enemy has been to somehow disappoint people; to apply psychological warfare; and to somehow imply the so-called inefficiency of the sacred Islamic system.

This strategy revolves round undermining the revolutionary spirit, ratcheting up economic pressure on Iran, driving a wedge between people and the sacred Islamic system, and a futile bid to demonize Iran in regional and international arenas.

The Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, in a keynote speech, addressing the pilgrims of the Holy Shrine of the 8^th Infallible Imam of the Prophet of Islam's Household, Imam Reza (AS), two years ago, reminded that "the Iranian nation has put behind numerous challenges and threats; which have mainly aimed to deal a blow against the Iranian nation."

US strategy, at this point, is to mount hurdles, in order to obstruct the progress of Islamic Iran, via imposition of a number of sanctions, and embroilment of people and sacred Islamic system in livelihood issues of concern, and ultimately distancing the sacred Islamic establishment from infrastructural activities. As the Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, has pointed out in his keynote remarks on several occasions, if these challenges and problems are not resolved, economic problems could leave long-term, and destructive impacts.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has faced the enmity of the US, and plots and schemes of the enemy, in different forms and shapes, and has successfully steadfast against the majority of these hostilities. However, this has not marked the end of hostilities of the Global Arrogance, led by the US, against the Iranian nation and sacred Islamic establishment.

The Leader of Islamic Revolution has repeatedly reminded the economic conspiracies hatched by the foes, and the sinister and ominous goals of these conspiracies, while putting emphasis on the importance of reinforcement of economic infrastructure, and adoption of necessary measures to this end. The Leader of Islamic Revolution has presented mid-term and long-term strategies, which introduces the path toward establishment of a resistant economy, coupled with significant economic growth and development.

The Leader of Islamic Revolution, in relation to importance of the second phase of the Islamic Revolution, presents his strategic assessment of the past of the Islamic Revolution, and renders strategic approaches for the future. In the first phase of the Islamic Revolution, the Leader of Islamic Revolution mentions loyalty toward the revolutionary culture, and underlines: "the glorious Islamic Revolution of the Iranian nation is the only revolution which has marked its honorable 40^th anniversary without the betrayal of its ideals; while safeguarding its dignity, and the originality of its mottos in the face of all apparently irresistible temptations."

Nobody imagined that the Iranian community would go through such major developments with such a fast pace, and in such a short period of time; with revolutionary values being instilled in the hearts and minds of people. However, this goal has certainly come true.

Meanwhile, the Leader of Islamic Revolution refers to a few shortcomings in the path of this movement, pointing out that the enemy has launched a futile bid to defeat the Islamic Revolution from within.

Meanwhile, the Iranian nation has put behind difficult phases, and is currently determined to take the second step of Islamic Revolution for establishment of a new civilization; based on the capacities that it has gained in four decades, and upon understanding and recognizing opportunities and challenges.
