Salaam dear listeners, while greeting you on the advent of the Spring Equinox that marks the start of the new Iranian year of the solar hijri calendar, 1399, which like its lunar counterpart is dated from the migration from Mecca to Medina of Prophet Mohammad (blessings of God upon him and his progeny), we offer you heartfelt condolences since today happens to be the 25th of the sacred Islamic month of Rajab, the day of martyrdom of the Prophet’s 7th Infallible Heir in the year 183 AH.
