Welcome to this week's episode of the series Let's Know Islam. In this episode, we continue to discuss the features of the global government of justice and peace of the Savior of Mankind, the 12th Infallible Imam of the Prophet of Islam's Household, Imam Mahdi (May God hasten his reappearance).

The approach of the global rule of Imam Mahdi is similar to the governance approach of Prophet Mohammad (Blessings of God upon him and his progeny), and the First Infallible Successor to Prophet of Islam, Imam Ali (Peace be upon him). Meanwhile, due to several obstacles and restrictions, the conditions were not in place for the Prophet of Islam and his Infallible Household to fulfill all of their goals in the community. However, based on narrations, Imam Mahdi (AS) with the assistance of God removes all of these barriers and succeeds in establishment of his global government of justice and peace.

One of the features of Imam Mahdi's rule is removal of all geographical boundaries and establishment of an all-encompassing global government. Naturally, a global government maintains a rich and original ideological and cultural backbone and can outrival all other viewpoints.

In the global government, all ethnicities and nations are administered based on a unified policy and prudence. Imam Mahdi (AS) uproots all of the different grounds for disputes among ethnicities and nations and governs the planet based on a set of specific rules and regulations. As a result; beliefs, thoughts, and approaches are unified. In this manner, disputes and confrontations in human communities are uprooted, while peace, amity, and kindness is established worldwide.

In Imam Mahdi's global government of peace and justice, all of Easterners and Westerners gather under the banner of the Savior of Mankind, and globalization takes place in the true sense of the word. Due to unity and solidarity of the international community, amity is promoted everywhere and the aspirations of the divine prophets come true.

Imam Mahdi's global rule is based on the most comprehensive divine religion, which is the sacred religion of Islam. For several centuries, mankind has neglected his God-seeking spirit because of man's ignorance, and instead of worshipping the one and only creator of the world, has submitted to rogue powers. However, the global government of Imam Mahdi develops hearts and minds, and guides mankind to the righteous path and monotheism. At that point in time, the sacred religion of Islam is accepted by the international community and people convert to Islam, across the world.

In this manner, everyone gathers under the banner of divine religion of Islam; and polytheism is uprooted.

Based on a number of narrations, upon the reappearance of Imam Mahdi, he revives the Islamic rules which have been partly neglected and uproots any possible deviations from the sacred religion of Islam. Obviously, Holy Quran is the last holy book, and the divine religion of Islam is the eternal and most comprehensive religion for the prosperity of mankind. In fact, Imam Mahdi's plan is to highly promote Quranic teachings and to clarify the latent facts of Holy Quran for the international community.

One of the other features of Imam Mahdi's global government of peace and justice is treasuring science and knowledge, and resolutely campaigning against ignorance. In the era of Imam Mahdi, people achieve mental and spiritual growth and development.

Today, mankind has made resounding scientific accomplishments. He has benefitted from scientific breakthroughs in all parts of his life and has overcome many problems as the result of his scientific progress. However, experts admit that human knowledge is negligible and mankind still faces numerous unknowns.

In the meantime, another problem which has been partly neglected by thinkers is the lack of balance between the current knowledge of mankind and his spiritual needs. The fact of the matter is that mankind, despite materialistic progress, has not been experienced spiritual progress as such. In the view of a number of Western thinkers, mankind in the contemporary world, despite of his scientific accomplishments, has neglected his mental and spiritual needs.

However, in Imam Mahdi's global rule, mankind's wisdom flourishes with worship of God and compliance with ethical principles.  Obviously, if science and technology which are the important accomplishments of mankind, are coupled with wisdom and constructive religious guidelines, the global catastrophes which we are currently witness to, would not occur. Thus, one of the evident features of Imam Mahdi's global government of peace and justice is the materialization of scientific achievements, coupled with spiritual and mental growth and development of mankind.

Science reaches the peak of its development throughout the era of reappearance of Imam Mahdi. This fact has been mentioned in several hadiths. Upon the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (AS), the scope of science and technology expands such that the high pinnacles of science and culture are conquered by the Infallible Imam and new branches of science are innovated in that era.

Undoubtedly, the resounding growth of science and technology in the era of reappearance of Imam Mahdi enhances human capacities. Growth of sciences makes it possible for mankind to better utilize natural and God-given blessings and to attain a higher level of welfare. In that era, mankind makes use of natural sources in the best possible manner. Also, in the era of reappearance of Imam Mahdi, agriculture achieves the peak of its progress, while mines and underground sources are discovered and optimally used.

Another important fact about the global government of Imam Mahdi is its approval by the international community. Any given government wants to maintain the approval of the community it governs. However, many ruling systems, across the world, are not approved by people due to sole consideration of the interests of particular individuals and/or groups or due to making errors in recognition of people's actual interests. Moreover, some of the ruling systems that are approved by people, may not be able to maintain this approval in the long run. However, Imam Mahdi's global government of peace and justice is uniquely approved by the international community, to an extent that in addition to people of Planet Earth; denizens of Heavens are also gladdened by the global government of Imam Mahdi (AS).
